Why can you not eat any for the next 2 years?. I have just planted some, is there something I should know?
I planted 1 year old crowns and you should not cut anything until the third year as the asparagus needs time for the roots to grow and and shouldn't have it's 'leaves' depleted in this time, it seems like a long time but it's worth it in the end!
